While Claudia Jordan can’t seem to find the right man in real life on Real Housewives of Atlanta she stayed arm-in-arm with a good looking guy during her days as a video model. After noticing Jordan in a throwback video on my favorite channel, VH1 Soul, I did some digging and realized she’s been in quite a few visual clips since the early ’90s, and you probably never noticed. Here are just a few of her big appearances from kicking it with The Backstreet Boys to mixing and mingling with Joe and Dru Hill.
“Charlie, Last Name, Wilson” by Charlie Wilson
In Charlie, Last Name, Wilson, Jordan plays a waitress at a restaurant. After being disrespected by her employers and Charlie Wilson’s date for the night, she makes a play for the singer’s heart and ends up being his main boo-thang–and the recipient of like 15 different phone numbers (including his mama’s number).
“As Long As You Love Me” by The Backstreet Boys
Years before playing a love interest to cornrow-wearing Charlie Wilson, Jordan was starring in Backstreet Boys videos. She played a model named “Nina” in this popular video. Who else remembers this song though?! Talk about THE jam back in the day.
“I Wanna Know” by Joe
Joe, in his Matrix sunglasses, woos Jordan’s character after she breaks up with her boyfriend in public. After giving her his number (not the pager), they keep in touch, and in true R&B music video fashion, fall in love.
“Five Steps” by Dru Hill
In this very moving video, Jordan plays Nokio’s love interest. And while she enters the picture in a good mood, after Sisqo’s lady falls out with him, all the ladies go postal on the men. Jordan ends up slapping Nokio across the face for a reason that remains unknown but is still entertaining.
“Me And Those Dreamin’ Eyes Of Mine” by D’Angelo
Jordan plays one of the three women who catch the eye of D’Angelo in a lounge as he (and a band made up of a bunch of other D’Angelos) does his thing on stage. She eventually gets to frolic around with the sultry singer in a phone booth. Lucky?!
“Throw It In The Bag” by Fabolous Feat. The-Dream
Not every video appearance she’s made has been a super throwback. Jordan played a thief in Fabolous’ visuals for “Throw It In The Bag,” which features The-Dream. She ends up getting arrested, but he comes to her rescue, and they pull off in a Mercedes Benz.
“Why Just Be Friends” by Joe
Joe sure loves him some Claudia Jordan! She appeared in yet another one of the singer’s videos, this time for “Why Just Be Friends.” The two enjoy each other’s company before heading to his bedroom to get to know one another a little better…
“Only When Ur Lonely” by Ginuwine
One of my favorites from Ginuwine, Jordan played G’s deceitful love interest in the clip from 1997. After he catches her cozying up to another man, she tries to sneak backstage at one of his shows and gets the boot.
“Listen To Your Man” by Chico DeBarge Feat. Joe
Joe was able to get Jordan a spot in the video for “Listen To Your Man,” his song with Chico DeBarge. But this time around she plays DeBarge’s lady. After letting her friends get in her head about him, she starts a big fight with the singer. When they have an argument outside of a store, she gets DeBarge arrested before trying to return to his side at the end of the clip. Of course.
