DMX
DMX came on Iyanla: Fix My Life to heal his relationship with his son, but Vanzant also wanted to confront the rapper about his drug use. Before any healing could happen for Dark Man X, things on set became pretty intense, with the rapper actually cursing at Vanzant.
Since appearing on the show, both DMX and his son Xavier say that going on Fix My Life made their relationship worse. Even Vanzant says that she’s still working on healing from the episode as well.

Karrueche Tran
Karrueche Tran’s episode of Iyanla: Fix My Life hasn’t even aired, and reports of Tran throwing Vanzant and the OWN crew out of her house are already surfacing.
The problem? Tran told TMZ that she was made to believe that her interview with Vanzant would only focus on the positive. But as always, Vanzant didn’t shy away from the tough topics: “He betrayed you,” she told Tran in the preview clip. “He lied to you. He did it all publicly.”
The outcome? We’ll all have to tune in on Saturday to find out.

Sheree Whitfield
Sheree Whitfield went on the show in the hopes of receiving help so that she could move forward after her messy divorce. But when her ex-husband, Bob Whitfield, shared his perspective on their failed marriage and her reality TV career, Sheree’s plans were derailed:
“Your whole plot was to point a finger at me, as to catapult yourself into some glory. To take advantage of the stereotypes of the male athlete having kids everywhere, to the bad husband that abandons his family, doesn’t take care of them, to the distraught woman that can’t meet her bills.”
When Sheree’s character was called into question by both her ex and Vanzant, she felt some type of way about it:
“I felt like I was being attacked. It was very hurtful … I didn’t feel like questions about whether or not my finances were up to par had anything to do with me as a parent or being a good person.”
She later tweeted, “Last week DMX was a deadbeat Dad. This week it’s ok to be a absentee if you don’t like the mother. Ratings trump Logic #IylanlaFixMyLife”

Saigon and Erica Jean
Love & Hip Hop: New York fans hoped Vanzant would be able to help this volatile pair put some of the bickering behind them so that they could successfully co-parent. But it was clear almost immediately that these two had trouble even being in the same room together. Things went downhill from there.
Afterwards, Erica Jean said that the show made it even harder for them to get along. Jean claimed that even though she was the one who called the show, Iyanla took Saigon’s side:
“I was the one that kind of wanted help from Iyanla because of Saigon’s deal with the verbal abuse and the things I was enduring in our relationship. I understand that Iyanla was trying to help me in certain situations but a lot of things I think was inappropriate like bringing up plastic surgery, just things that didn’t have anything to do with me and Saigon’s relationship or me being a good mother.
So, I don’t think the show was effective in that way. I think that it was a very one-sided show and I think that Saigon manipulated Iyanla for whatever reason to kind of put it on me but at the end of the day, I guess it is what it is.”

Jay Williams’ Kids
Jay Williams — the infamous father of 34 children with 17 different women — definitely healed after his time with Vanzant, and his appearance on her show has even helped him get his own spin-off series on OWN. But two of his daughters say they’re not so happy.
Williams’ oldest daughter, Amina Mosley, even wrote an open letter to Vanzant titled, Dear Iyanla, Thank You for ‘Fixing’ My Father. In the letter she claimed that her father had been “blessed with all of the opportunities that he has ahead of him because of the show,” but didn’t share any of those blessings with his 34 children.
Another one of his daughters even started a GoFundMe page asking for donations because she felt their family was exploited. She raised $125.

Iyanla Vanzant
Being Iyanla Vanzant isn’t as easy as it looks, and on the episode “Iyanla: Fix My Full House,” it was Vanzant who broke down in tears. Faced with a chaotic home with 14 house guests and a lot of resentment, the life coach broke down, saying, “These people need help. I don’t even think I can help them. I’m just horrified. Horr-i-fied.”
But in true Iyanla fashion, she overcame the family’s hurdles and drama in one of the most touching episodes of Fix My Life to date.

Chad Johnson
When did Chad Johnson do an episode of Iyanla: Fix My Life? He didn’t. But Evelyn Lozada did.
Lozada asked Vanzant for help to clean up her act when she and Johnson were still together. Vanzant shared some harsh words with her (including calling her “a thug among women”) and even brought the steely reality star to tears. But Vanzant also helped Lozada deal with some of the issues behind her bad Basketball Wives behavior.
But Chad didn’t show up. And a few months later, Lozada was back on the show — after the domestic violence incident that ended their marriage. That breakthrough would help Lozada be even more open about what happened with Johnson when she returned to Basketball Wives Miami, but Johnson wasn’t crazy about being the topic of discussion each week.
