When you’re really in a pinch ask family or friends to borrow money. Make terms for repayment so they know you’re good for it and always pay back your debts! If you’re uncomfortable borrowing money from a friend, consider asking your job for a salary advance. Before requesting an advance, search for the guidelines in your employee manual and plan how you’ll approach your human resources manager.

Propose reorganizing their filing system or covering someone’s shift while they’re away in exchange for over-time hours.
