If you’ll recall from the last season of “Real Housewives of Atlanta,” Mama Joyce was never a big fan of Todd Tucker. She felt that he was going to use Kandi Burruss for her money, and inevitably leave Joyce out to dry when it comes to getting a piece of Burruss’ monetary pie. Because of that, she went out of her way to let him know that he was not  welcome, including scowling or saying very little in his presence, and allegedly working to try and have someone follow Todd around to take pictures of him being shady so that the couple would split.

Her issues with Tucker eventually spilled over and became issues with his mother, Sharon Tucker (don’t mess with a woman’s son now…), and got worse after she said on television that Tucker was raised by a “pimp and a prostitute.” Things got so bad between the women that they ended up having a light scuffle on “Kandi’s Wedding,” and by the time “RHOA” started taping, things hadn’t improved between them.

But despite their issues, Mama Joyce tells TMZ that she is saddened by Sharon’s recent passing this week from a fatal stroke, and regrets the way things played out between them.

According to TMZ, Joyce is deeply sorry for gossiping about Sharon and calling her a prostitute (which wasn’t true). She wishes they could have buried the hatchet, though Joyce struggled to apologize for her past harsh words. Despite all that though, Joyce says that she does hope to improve her relationship with Todd. That might be tough to do though, because in previews for this new season of “RHOA,” Todd still seemed hurt at the fact that Joyce wouldn’t apologize for talking crazy about his parents, telling Kandi, “Your mom can’t be grown up enough to apologize for something that she lied about!”

We’re hoping this sad situation will finally bring everyone closer and end a lot of the pettiness.

When asked by TMZ if she will attend Sharon’s funeral, Joyce said that out of respect, she wouldn’t. She’s well aware that her presence probably wouldn’t be welcomed by Sharon’s family and friends, but she does intend to send flowers and her condolences.
