Crazy paternity suits are certainly nothing new. Back when Paul McCartney was with the Beatles, a woman named Erika Habers went to the tabloids claiming that she and Paul made her daughter Bettina Krischbin back in Hamburg before he made it big.
Paul submitted to a blood test to prove that she wasn’t his daughter and thought the ordeal was over. But in 2007, Bettina popped up in headlines again claiming that Paul used a stand-in for the blood test to get out of being her dad. But the court threw the case out of court because the statute of limitations for fraud cases is five years and Bettina waited roughly 25 years to sue.
