Despite the supersaturated celebrity world we live in, there are still a lot of things we don’t know about some of our favorite stars, like their ethnicity. Though we may have tried to put these biracial and multi-racial celebrities in one box or another, the truth is they have a diverse ethnic background and that’s something everyone should start celebrating and acknowledging in its totality. Here are 15 celebrities we bet you didn’t know are biracial. Who surprised you the most?
Jordin Sparks
This “American Idol” and young pop sensation comes New Jersey (although born in Phoenix) as well as from a melting pot of ethnicities. Her mother, Jodi, is a Caucasian woman, with English, German, Scottish and Norwegian ancestry, and her former NFL footballer father, Phillippi Sparks is African-American.
Naomi Campbell
The supermodel comes from a mother who has African-Jamaican ancestry, and a father who comes from Chinese-Jamaican ancestry. Campbell, however, grew up in London, hence the accent.
Louis C.K.
Perhaps the comedian has such a broad perspective on life due to his multi-ethnic background. His mother is Caucasian, of Irish Catholic descent, and his father is part Hungarian and part Mexican. C.K. spent the first seven years of his life in Mexico and is still a Mexican citizen.
Frankie Muniz
The “Malcolm in the Middle” actor comes from a Caucasian mother of Irish and Italian descent, and a Puerto Rican father.

The musician comes from a mother who is of African American and Chinese descent, and a father who is African-American.
Lenny Kravitz
Singer Kravtiz has a very diverse background: his mother is part African, part Bahamian and his father is Caucasian, of Russian Jewish descent.

The former Miss World USA has a mother who is of Spanish-Mexican descent and a Caucasian father who is of English and Irish descent.
Carmelo Anthony
The NBA star comes from a mother of African-American ancestry and a father from Puerto Rico.
Norah Jones
The singer with a soothing voice comes from a mother who is Caucasian Anglo-American (meaning she has British ancestry) and a father who comes from Indian ancestry.
