We all come across inspirational things in our lives that challenge us to think and dream bigger. The question is whether or not we will listen to our inner voice, or drown it out in a sea of self-doubt and excuses. It takes a lot of people to be average but only a few to leave their mark. Here are signs you are destined for greatness.
You want more
There is something to be said about being content with the things that you have. In fact, that is one of our biggest problems as a society — always wanting more and never being happy with our current possessions. While this does hold true, it’s okay to desire to achieve more in your life. Too many times we get so complacent cutting our potential short. Be willing to continue your journey.
You have an unshakable confidence
Even though you have yet to reach your full potential, there is something about you and the way you carry yourself that shows the world you are well on your way. Confidence is the outward display of an inner confirmation about your self-worth — and ability to do great things. Just make sure you don’t overdo. No one likes an arrogant person.
Aren’t satisfied with what’s out
Here is another example of how you are different from the average person. Society has definitely made advancements over the years. That however does not mean everything is perfect. Have you ever looked at something and said “I could make it better?” This is typically the catalyst that leads you down the path to creating the next big thing.
Always look to better yourself
Do you have a stack of entrepreneur or self-help books at your bedside? Do they somehow find their way into your luggage for vacations? People turn to various things when they look for inspiration in their life. It’s all around us — you just have to be willing to stop and learn as we don’t have all of the answers.
You keep at it… even if you fail
No one said success would be easy or not involve hard work. All it takes is that one blow to crush our spirits and make us give up, but those destined for greatness don’t. Rather than throw their hands up they pick themselves up and keep at it until something works. Thomas Edison said it best, “many of life’s failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up.”
Are always curious
Curiosity might have killed the cat but took a dreamer far in life. If you aren’t constantly asking questions in life then you might just take it for face value — destined to live in the land of contentment. Being curious means you are eager to learn more.
Understand life is not a straight path
Honey if things were that cut and dry everyone would be successful and a millionaire. Even if you have a set plan for your life, if you do not allow for hiccups and new directions you can burn out, or give up. Everyone at some point in their life experiences failure — or having what they thought would work blow up in their face. There are too many examples of individuals who became successful after changing course.
Put your thoughts to action
There’s a big difference between someone who thinks about something and the person that does it. How many of us have an inventory of journals with dreams we never realized? Well in order to do so you are going to have to focus and put some action behind them.
Your life mirrors your daydreams
Okay let’s be serious for a moment as no one is talking about those dreams you have that shouldn’t be mentioned in public. It’s very normal for a person to wander off into space and envision their future. Sometimes we think about the people we will meet, places we’ll visit, or the accomplishments we’ll conquer in our careers. If you start to notice that they have become a reality, you, my friend, are on the right track. Not everyone gets to tell a “once upon a time” story that turns into a reality.
