While shows like The Real and The Queen Latifah Show made some strong debuts last year and have been renewed, it seems Kris Jenner’s Kris, and now reality star and entrepreneur Bethenny Frankel’s Bethenny, haven’t been able to have the same luck.

Deadline reports today that there will be no second season of the show. The ratings weren’t bad, but they weren’t necessarily going through the roof. Producers behind the show (Telepictures Prods. and its station partner, the Fox O&Os), however, were actually interested in renewing the show, but Bethenny lost quite a few affiliate clearances across the country, as many jumped at dropping the show in favor of making room for Meredith Viera’s upcoming talk show. There was also a hope that the show could maybe even be moved to Bravo, where Frankel starred for a time on Real Housewives of New York and did her spin-off show. Best of Bethenny show was tested on the network, but it didn’t pull in viewers like producers thought.

For those who were fans of the show, original episodes will continue until the season ends in May. Producers issued a statement, wishing Frankel the best for the future, and she has responded to the news with her own statement:

“I had a blast doing this show with Telepictures. My entire staff worked so hard and made everyday so much fun. I am thankful for the experience and for all my fans who tuned in every day.”

I will say that initially, I wasn’t really feeling her talk show. I thought it was just a place to get infamous people (including fellow reality stars) on the couch to grill them and/or have the audience, or Frankel, herself, attack them about being bad friends, bad mothers, and just less than favorable folks in general. The interview with Omarosa Manigault was literally one of the most uncomfortable talk show moments I’ve seen. But as time went on, Frankel found a groove and I could enjoy some of the segments and her energy. But good luck to Frankel. With all the other success she’s had, she should be fine.

Did you tune into the show? If so, will you miss it?
