Fans of Destiny’s Child had been anticipating the resurgence of the R&B group as hype circulated that a reunion was in the works.
The Grammy-winning group who consists of the trio Beyonce Knowles, Kelly Rowland, and Michelle Williams were amidst public reports that they were preparing for a reunion with the founding members of their group, Letoya Luckett and Latavia Roberson. It had been since 1999 when the two members broke from Destiny’s Child as tensions arose with their manager, Mathew Knowles. A decision was made to include singers, Williams and Farrah Franklin who joined the group, but five months later, Franklin was fired after missing concert dates.
After recent tabloid reports that Beyonce and Kelly Rowland severed their relationship (after Rowland fired Mathew Knowles as her manager in 2009), Beyonce recently visited Rowland at an event in New York City. A representative from the Music World Entertainment denied the reunion and added that there were “no plans for the group to reunite for a performance or album.”
