Here’s a bit of good news for gospel music fans. Kirk Franklin recently announced that he has big plans of reuniting with God’s Property, the gospel choir responsible for bringing us 1996 hit “Stomp.”

FAMILY I think it’s time to get the band back together…! GP ARE YOU WITH ME?!?! #2014,” the 43-year-old musician posted to his Facebook and Twitter pages.

If you recall, Kirk’s collaborative CD with the choir sold more than three million copies and topped the Billboard gospel charts for over 70 weeks. Despite their success, Kirk and the gang eventually parted ways due to business discrepancies. According to Always A List, in 1998 the choir’s founder Linda Searight sue Kirk, accusing him of coercing her into signing an “onerous and one-sided” contract. The lawsuit was eventually settled and it looks like Kirk and GP are ready to put aside their differences and start fresh.

So far there aren’t too many details on the reunion, but whatever they come up with, we’re sure it will be good. Now, if only we could get Tye Tribbett to reunite with G.A.!

Are you excited about their reunion?
