Many TLC fans are outraged at this news. Pebbles, who managed the group, is suing the late Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes for money she says she was owed from 1992.

Fans are upset because the group was totally broke due to its contract with Pebbles, which literally ensured she took home most of the money from their countless hits. TLC has said that they “signed a management agreement with Pebbles which gave her ownership in the name TLC along with an alleged grossly unfair percentage in their earnings,” reports Hello Beautiful. And allegedly TLC was not provided a copy of their original contract. In the end, they had to pay her $3 million ($1 million per TLC member) to obtain ownership of the TLC name.

At the time, Left Eye complained to the media, often saying that it didn’t make sense that group can sell 10 million records and be broke.

But Pebbles still says she is due money. “Just cuz she not here doesn’t mean she ain’t gotta pay what she owe; Everybody pays what they owe. Ask TLC,” said Pebbles to a Vh1 correspondent, reports Bossip.

“I honestly thought of her as a little sister …a little sister that owes me money from 1992,″ said Pebbles.

Pebbles recently talked to  VH1 briefly to discuss her plans to sue the people behind Left Eye’s estate, which is why the remaining members of TLC have said they can’t perform some of their past hits in a Breakfast Club interview — due to holds on Left Eye’s vocals.

“TLC just did that BIG movie …Hell, they can pay!” said Pebbles sarcastically about TLC’s smash hit biopic “CrazyS*xyCool.”

According to Pebbles, her suit has nothing to do with the way she was negatively portrayed in the movie, and claims, “It’s just business.”

Do you think Pebbles lawsuit is revenge for TLC spilling the beans about her business practices?
