The pop/punk band hit the mainstream in 2006 with their hit “Sugar We’re Going Down.” While they were the butt of every ‘rock is dead’ joke, they went on to sell over 17 million copies of all of their albums worldwide. Pete Wentz, the creator and producer of the group, went on to help bring successful groups/people like Gym Class Heroes, Paramore, and rapper Tyga to the masses. Sadly, the group took an indefinite hiatus in 2010 due to creative differences. (FYI: Their sound has been described as both emo and rock, but did you know that Babyface produced a good bit of their music?)
