Behind the Music: 7 Celeb Stories VH1 Needs To Get On Now - Page 2

Common

When “BTM” came back for the first time in 2009, it featured many hip-hop artists like T.I., Lil Wayne and 50 Cent. Common’s journey has been a long one, with him almost giving up on the rap game when his first album, Can I Borrow a Dollar?, only sold 2,000 copies. Yes, you read that right, 2,000. The rapper also has many titles, including actor, rapper, and activist, and he’s also had many interesting relationships and squabbles (we can’t forget his relationship with Erykah Badu or his short-lived beef with both Ice Cube and Drake). You could check out his book, One Day It’ll All Make Sense, but if you don’t have the time for all that, wouldn’t a “Behind the Music” be much more feasible?
