(Chicago Sun Times) — Visiting the National Restaurant Association convention at McCormick Place Saturday, Mayor Daley said the city is eating up the added business that comes with hosting one of its largest trade shows, while pushing pending legislation to cut McCormick costs in order to bring back the group and others threatening to leave.

The bill before Quinn calls for a series of reforms at McCormick, including a “bill of rights” for convention exhibitors in hopes of keeping more trade shows from leaving Chicago over costs and work rules.
