The Grammy-winner has spent decades singing about love and relationships between two people, and also spent several years married, but that is completely the opposite of how Ne-Yo is living his life these days, highlighted by her four girlfriends that he refers to as his “pyramid.”

In an interview with The Rickey Smiley Morning Show last month, he explained why he has fully embraced the poly lifestyle. “I feel like I wasted a lot of time just being dishonest about things, to the point where had I taken this approach initially I probably could have saved myself a lot of headache and heartache,” he said.

“The key ingredient to making it work is honesty, everybody gotta be telling the truth,” Ne-Yo continued. “I ain’t manipulating nobody, I ain’t brainwashing nobody, I ain’t lying to nobody,” the singer said. “Here’s what it is: I like you but I also like her, and her and her. If you cool with that, come on, we gonna have a great time.”
