The Golden Globes are back, kicking off award season in serious style. Last night’s 82nd ceremony is already buzzing with chatter about nominees like Barbie and Oppenheimer—but if we’re honest, it’s the fashion we’re here for.

This year’s show marks a pivotal moment for the Globes after past controversies over diversity in its voting body. Now, with expanded membership and 10% Black representation, the spotlight is on. Black Hollywood showed up and showed out in couture for the culture.

The red carpet was a runway of glam, with bold risks, dazzling sequins, and winter-ready velvet fabrics dominating the scene. Black excellence radiated everywhere, and we’re still not over these looks.

Janene James dazzled in a pixie cut and velvet gown. First-time Golden Globe winner, Zoe Saldana sparkled in a black sequin gown with a sweetheart neckline.

The men also brought the fashion. Tyler Hames Williams was a stud on the carpet in a tailored grey suit. Morris Chestnut was sizzling hot in a bold red suit. And of course, Colman Domingo brought his timeless style in a custom Valentino look.
