History inevitably repeats itself, which is always a good thing in the music world… when executed correctly.
Raphael Saadiq proved in his last album, The Way I See It, that he has the ability to take it back to the 50s and 60s with ease and finesse. His remake of the the Spinners classic “It’s a Shame” has the same instrumentation and lyrics, but Saadiq definitely adds his special flavor to the song.
