Podcaster Joe Budden split from his fiancee Cyn Santana back in May, and it appears the former rapper is back on the dating scene.
The 39-year-old is reportedly dating boutique owner, Shadee Monique. She’s a curvy Houston-native who has almost a quarter of a million followers on social media under username @therealcateyes.
Budden and Monique openly flirted on social media on a recent post. Monique showed off her hips in the photo with the caption,
“and to think I changed clothes before going out.”
Budden left a comment on the flattering post saying, “Which time out? Tuh.” She replied, coyly, “U already know when and where.”
News of Joe’s new boo comes a few months after he split from reality star Cyn Santana amid infidelity rumors after a four month engagement. The pair welcomed a son, Lexington, in December of 2017.
Joe denied their breakup initially, telling fans and listeners of his podcast that they never spoke about separating.
“We didn’t break up,” Joe said at the time. “There’s been no breakup. Now, words are important. So what does that mean? What that means is neither one of us said it’s over.” But in the same breathe he admitted that they “haven’t spoken in a little while.”
“I think her phone’s been dead for a few weeks,” he continued.
“Can you break up without saying it?” The Revolt host said. “I didn’t take it no way when she moved all her s–t out of the house.”
But now that months have passed, Cyn is speaking openly about the split, saying it was what she had to do for her mental health.
“We didn’t decide on anything. I did what was best for my mental health, my peace and for me and my son, you know what I mean?” she told New York during an interview on “Brunch With Tiffany.”
“It was a decision that I had to make on my own. This wasn’t a unison thing,” she said. “How can I keep this very sweet? Basically, let’s just say that I’m probably the happiest I’ve ever been and that was probably the best decision that I’ve made in my entire life. In the 26 years I have of living on this earth, the best decision I made was leaving that relationship. And my son and I are amazing.”
