“Wake Up Everybody” New Single from The Roots and John Legend
This is the first single off John Legend and the The Roots album due September 21st.
Titled Wake Up! this first cut is a remake of Teddy Pendergrass’s original 1975 protest song and features Melanie Fiona and Common. The Roots provide awesome instrumentals, while Legend and Fiona’s vocals interweave throughout and Common spits a few verses.
