Reality stars Erica Mena and Safaree are expecting their first child.
In a video from VH1, the rapper dad-to-be gets vulnerable about his impending parenthood.
“I’m nervous,” Samuels explained. “I’m in shock. I’m in disbelief. It’s very surreal to me. I don’t know what to do but I know I’m going to be great at what I do because I’m great at everything.”
The duo has shrugged off rumors they were expecting for awhile now. Last month, Samuels, 38 said on social media, “Y’all been saying she’s pregnant since December. The Internet knows more than the [people] involved nowadays.”
Well, looks like the people were right.
The two were first linked in November of 2018 and were engaged by Christmas Eve of the same year. In March, Erica Mena told fans that the two were trying to have a baby and were consuming “sea moss” to help with fertility.
“We’re trying to have a baby, so we’re putting it inside our drinks and stuff,” she said at the time.
Before getting caught up in his whirlwind romance with Erica, Safaree told Twitter in September of 2018 he was ready for wifey.
“I’m so serious when I say the next woman I have sex with will be my wife,” he wrote on Twitter then. ”I can go ages without sex, I don’t care about it. I’m looking for a wife. I want a relationship, something real. If you’re not trying to give that I’ll keep my meat wrapped around my leg 2myself. I already spend a lot of time alone so abstinence will not be a problem at all. This birthday made me realize something and I refuse to grow old and not have a mini me and some1 to share this wood with.”
This will be the first child for Safaree, and the second child for Erica who has a 12-year-old son with her ex. Congrats!
