“60 Inchessssss!!” You Have To See Lil Mo’s Longer Than Floor-Length Multicolored Braids
Looking to try some funky braids but don’t want to commit to them for too long, nor have to deal with removing them one by one? Take a page out of Lil Mo‘s book.
The 40-year-old singer has been sporting a unique look with her longer than floor length braids, which she sported to the world premiere of the sixth and final season of Power event at Madison Square Garden this week. Mo was not only a guest but also a performer at the concert that 50 Cent put on to say goodbye to the show. Other performers who took the stage included ASAP Ferg, Fetty Wap, Trey Songz and Snoop Dogg.
Still, almost nothing got more attention on that stage (aside from the premiere episode of Season 6) than Mo’s braids. She managed to belt out her hits alongside 50 without tripping over the 60-inch braids that fall oh so close to her feet.
Mo debuted the look a few days prior at the Bronner Bros. International Beauty Show in Atlanta. In case there was any confusion about it, the braids are a wig created by stylist Terrence Davidson, whom she supported during the show’s famous hair battle by performing. They’ve worked together for more than 17 years.
Mo has always leaned towards some very unique hairstyles. Early on in her career she was sporting some ombre blue as well as pink braids that were quite ahead of their time when you think about the multi-hued hairstyles people are more comfortable doing now. This however, is definitely something we haven’t seen before — or at least not this long and this colorful. The “Superwoman” singer stated that the look is the beginning of a fresh start for her. She split from husband Karl Dargan earlier this year after almost five years together.
“LIL MO reinvented!!” she said of her new style. “The level up is inevitable. Love. LIFE.”
