To promote the new season of Basketball Wives, the cast is responding to Twitter comments from viewers in a segment VH1 calls “Fandemonium.” Most recently, Evelyn Lozada responded to someone who said she will cozy up to any man with a ball. In the newest “Fandemonium,” Shaunie O’Neal is responding to people who say she’s a fake friend to women on the show, in particular, feuding cast mates Evelyn Lozada and Tami Roman. She’s received this criticism in the past due to her penchant to laugh at jokes made at the expense of both women (usually Tami, though).

“Shady, phony, fake, plays both sides? No. No. Am I cool with everybody most of the time? Yes, I don’t really know how that makes me fake,” she said in response to such a comment. “My humor can be inappropriate at times, but that’s just me on an everyday basis. If it’s funny I’m going to laugh, friend or no friend.”

The 44-year-old, who is an executive producer on the series, said she doesn’t stir the drama between her two friends. In fact, she said she has tried over and over to get them to have good rapport, but it just hasn’t worked out.

“First of all, what drama am I in? I just be listening,” she said. “I wish people could break down exactly what drama I have been in the middle in. The only drama maybe that I’m in is Tami and Evelyn, and I didn’t start that sh-t. I’m just innocently in the middle.”

“I try my best. I’ve tried for so many seasons to get these ladies to just be cordial, Currently just trying to get them to just be in the room together,” she added. “Now we’ve resorted to not even doing that. Evelyn don’t even have a name out of Tami’s mouth. It’s ‘The Young Lady.’ We’re getting worse.”

And as for her own past drama, who could forget when she was going toe-to-toe with Brandi Maxiell? Still, she contends that she didn’t fire Brandi — someone else did. However, that doesn’t mean any and everyone she has an issue with ends up on the chopping block (Gloria Govan was fired though, so Shaunie may have some say she’s not acknowledging).

“Technically, the only person who has been fired is Brandi, and I did not fire her, despite me saying, ‘Thank you for your services,'” she said. “That wasn’t a fire. That literally was, I was thanking her for her services. Besides that, who have I fired that I’ve been mad at?”

“Brandi called me a b—h,” she added. “I’ve been called a b—h many a day. ‘Kay? Doesn’t bother me.”

We’ll get to see what drama Shaunie claims she’s not in the middle of this time around when Season 8 premieres on June 19.
