WE tv’s “Growing Up Hip Hop” will be returning for its third season on Thursday, June 13. In anticipation of the new season, the network has released a trailer for the explosive season. And from the looks of things, they’ll cover a lot of ground. The trailer for the new season begins exploring the physical altercation that landed Bow Wow and his ex-girlfriend Kiyomi Leslie.
The network played a portion of Leslie’s 911 call.
“I was physically assaulted by my boyfriend and I would like to make a report…”
Then the trailer cuts to clips of Bow Wow’s mentors giving him advice.
Snoop: You got to learn how to control you.
Bow Wow’s mom, as he shows his mom the scare on his chest: She bit you? Your next girlfriend, can I please pick her? You know who my favorite is.
Then, the scene immediately flips to Bow Wow having dinner with Angela Simmons. During their dinner conversation, he makes a suggestion, “Let’s just get married and have a kid. F*ck it.” Simmons sarcastically says, “That’s a good goal.”
They move on later to Andrea Kelly and her daughter with R. Kelly, Buku, who is also pursing a career in music, having a conversation.
Andrea says, “I don’t know what it’s like to be R. Kelly’s child. I only know what it’s like to be his ex-wife.”
Then Drea’s daughter Buku responded, “It’s going to effect me forever.”
Then, in another scene, Andrea said to Deb Antney, “As soon as I feel like I got some normalcy…some headline.”
And later speaking to Tammy, she said, “He cracked me but he didn’t break me.”
