Almost every woman with an Instagram page knows Sammie has grown up —  and quite well, we might add. But the “I Like It” singer hasn’t just gotten older in the physical sense, the 32-year-old has also greatly matured as a man, sharing with us his commitment to be the type of partner a woman deserves now that he’s in his 30s. In talking about his new album, titled “Everlasting,” Sammie explained he also wants his next relationship to last forever.

“I think one of the things men do or run away from is taking accountability when we mess up,” he shared. “I never wanted to be the one that’s living a life of redundancy so I aspire to be faithful in a relationship, master the art of monogamy. It’s not easy to decide to be committed everyday so, um, that’s where I’m at in my life. My next relationship, whenever that happens, I pray that’s forever at this point.”

Peep the video above to hear Sammie’s thoughts on why that might be easier said than done, considering how challenging men find monogamy.
