Actress Viola Davis, 53, is taking a page out of Will Smith’s “Bucket List” playbook, opening herself up to an incredible adventure.

On social media, the Oscar winner shared with her millions of followers that she recently went skydiving while on vacation in Hawaii.

Davis posted three videos of her experience, showing the lead up to the jump, anticipating the jump while strapped in the plane, and the climatic drop and landing.

“So….I jumped out of a plane. Yup. I did it. 12,000 ft and 100mph drop. It was awesome and the ultimate exercise in letting go, tackling my fears and freedom,” she wrote on Instagram. “Loved it!!! As a smart woman once said, ‘Courage is fear said with prayers.'”

The actress made light of the situation by posting a series of hilarious hashtags including #GladIDidntWearAWig and #ForgiveMeForMyCussWordsAndJackedUpHair.

Davis and her instructor shared some light-hearted back and forth before her jump.

“I’m feeling a little anxious, but I’m ready,” she said as her instructor asked how she felt. “I feel alive. My will is done, signed, sealed, delivered,” she continued.

In the plane, moments before the big moment her instructor then asked, “Still think this is a good idea?” to which she confidently responded with, “Yes.”

In the third video Davis’s reactions are classic as she lets loose a string of curse words during her descent. She ends the drop with singing the lyrics to Montell’s Jordan’s This Is How We Do It.

As she touches the ground with joy and exaltation her instructor for her thoughts about the whole experience. “Awesome!” she says back with a huge grin.

Several of her celebrity friends including Shonda Rhimes, Sanaa Lathan and Billy Porter, congratulated Davis on social media.

After watching this, I now want to do something that challenges me in spite of my fears. Bravo Viola!
