Despite sharing her opinion on other people’s relationships pretty often, you won’t hear Wendy Williams talk about her own marriage very much. But every now and then, the 54-year-old (and her team) will speak up here and there to shut down rumors about the relationship as they gain serious traction. That is what she’s decided to do in reference to rumors that her husband, Kevin Hunter, is expecting a child with another woman.
A report surfaced last week from site LoveBScott that claimed Williams’ health struggles were concerning friends, and that there were rumors of self-medication happening. But what stood out in that story was the claim that Hunter’s alleged mistress of more than 10 years, a woman named Sharina Hudson, may be expecting a child with him.
“She’s allegedly pregnant and still living just down the street from their house,” a source told LoveBScott. “Word around the show is that they’re going to divorce sometime now that little Kevin has gone [sic] college.”
A few people who aren’t so crazy about Williams, including former Family Matters star Cherie Johnson and 50 Cent, have jumped on the baby rumor to rub it in the talk show host’s face. But Williams is saying the entire LoveBScott story is false. A cease-and-desist letter was sent to the site late last week.
“Mrs. Wendy Williams-Hunter and Mr. Kevin Hunter categorically deny each and every allegation made by your ‘sources,’ even if not specifically enumerated herein,” it read.
This isn’t the first time Williams has denied stories surrounding her husband. Last year, when reports initially surfaced claiming that Hudson and Hunter have been in a long-term relationship and that he bought a home for her close to the house he shares with Williams in New Jersey, Williams said on her talk show that she and her husband were doing just fine. She didn’t, however, emphatically deny his relationship with Ms. Hudson. That was pretty hard to do considering he and Hudson were spotted out together and his name was in Hudson’s mailbox.
“It’s some sort of weird story going around the Internet regarding my husband,” she said in September 2017. “Look, I’m a straight shooter. Pow, pow. All you got to do is Google him and you see the story. You can believe what you want, but… [flashes ring] I stand by my guy.”
“All is well in Hunterville. Don’t believe the hype,” Williams added. “And if there was hype, believe me you, I would let you know. And by the way, I’ll be following this story. So I guess I’ll have to watch to find out what happens.”
Williams and Hunter have been married since 1997, and they share an 18-year-old son named Kevin Hunter, Jr.
