(Chicago Sun Times) — Republican Senate candidate Mark Kirk won the endorsement Monday of the Rev. Willie Wilson and other west suburban African-American ministers.  Shortly after they endorsed Kirk, the ministers endorsed Democratic Gov. Quinn for re-election.  “I used to be Democratic all the way, but I’ve learned that I should not be Democratic or Republican,” Wilson said. “I consider myself independent. We endorse not because of the party, but what they stand for, doing right by the community, do right by all people. You need to have businesses to create jobs . . . Before this year, I had never met Congressman Kirk or Alexi [Giannoulias] in my life.”
