Angela Bassett is an icon.
We say that because the 60-year-old has given us body and looks since the 90’s and she continued to serve during her birthday party on Sunday.
Bassett celebrated her birthday a few weeks after the actual date, which was on August 16. When you’re booked and busy like Bassett, you sometimes have move things around to accommodate your greatness.
Several of her a-list friends were there including Tina Lawson and Snoop Dogg. While we’re sure there were many moments that we will never see, someone decided to bless us with a clip of Bassett dropping it to A$AP Ferg’s banger, “Plain Jane.”
Notice the technique. The red jumpsuit, the hair, the arms, the way her skin glows and glistens, the effortless way she hands her glass over before she goes to work. Bassett went full-fledged Leo as she commanded the attention in the center of the floor as any birthday girl should. And the video also comes with the background hype that one should receive when it’s your special day.
The clip comes just a few weeks after she posted an Instagram photo of herself in full vacay birthday mode. “Happy Birthday to all my Leo brothers and sisters. Let’s eat cake!” she wrote in the caption.
The photo went viral as many wondered how she continues to do the voodoo she does in aging backwards.
