On Friday’s episode of Listen to Black Women, we discussed the concept of sexual liberation which means many things to many people. Some think sexual freedom is synonymous with promiscuity while others say Black women are already liberated enough when it comes to their bodies. Given the strong divide in opinion, we thought it best to consult an expert on the matter: International Pleasure Coach Glamazon Tyomi who is Founder of Glamerotica101.com and the Resident Sexpert for Cassiuslife.com.
According to Tyomi, “Being sexually liberated means being sexually responsible.” She told Hello Beautiful Senior Entertainment Editor Shameka Sanders, “It means having an awareness that as a woman you know your options, you know your responsibilities as a sexually active being — because we do have responsibilities — and you know that you have autonomy, that you can use your sexuality in whatever way you choose or express it in whichever way you choose.”
Check out the full conversation with Tyomi above as she explains how more of us can get to a place of being sexually liberated rather than sexually shamed.
