(Politico) — Senate Judiciary Committee chairman Patrick Leahy granted Republicans’ request on Tuesday to delay Elena Kagan’s confirmation vote by one week. GOP Sen. Jeff Sessions asked Leahy to hold the vote over until July 20. That vote will send the nomination to the full Senate.
