Eudoxie Bridges celebrated her birthday on Monday, May 14, by spreading a message of the importance of being grateful.
She has a lot to be grateful for. Being married to actor and rapper Ludacris has afforded her the opportunity to see and do great things. She is the mother of a healthy and happy daughter (and stepmom to two other beauties). And not to mention, she was able to celebrate another year of life yesterday.
And it’s the attitude of gratitude she has that has helped Eudoxie move past a great loss this year. For her birthday, she opened up about having a miscarriage earlier this year and how relying on her faith (and the support of family and friends) helped her move forward.
“This year didn’t necessarily start off right for us,” she wrote. “I had a miscarriage and needed to have surgery. It was very easy to complain and self pity but I refused to let the enemy win. I stayed faithful and prayed up. I spent hours focusing on the many ways the Lord has blessed me. How could I complain when God has blessed me with the opportunity to already experience motherhood? I’m sharing this with you all to remind you to live in gratitude. When the enemy tries to knock you down, get even closer to your faith. My faith has been tested many times throughout my life but I’m only getting stronger. Life will not always go as planned and keeping a positive and grateful attitude will only bring more and bigger blessings.”
This revelation comes after her husband told PEOPLE in December that he and Eudoxie were hoping to try one more time for a boy in the year 2018.
“My New Year’s resolution is to get a boy, believe it or not,” he said. “We’re going to try one more time. So all next year I’m going to be trying to get a boy.”
At the time, the rapper told the publication that Eudoxie was “very much on board” with the plan.
The couple are already parents to their daughter Cadence, 2, and his daughters from previous relationships, Cai, 4, and Karma, 16. They have been married since 2014.
