Concern Over Soda Taxes Lingers in Industry
(Atlanta Journal Constitution) — The idea of a soda tax isn’t going away, despite the beverage industry’s success at beating back most initial attempts. From October to May, the percentage of Americans who support a soda tax either “somewhat” or “strongly” rose to 29 percent from 24 percent, according to Connecticut-based Consumer Edge Research, which surveyed 2,500 households.
