Say it ain’t so! It appears that singer Toni Braxton owes Uncle Sam a considerable amount of money in back taxes. We all thought her money troubles were over, didn’t you?

According to The Blast, it seems that the “Let It Flow” singer has been a little lackadaisical in paying taxes to the government. In court documents they obtained, Braxton owes $780,808.29 in back taxes.

Four tax liens have been filed against the Braxton Family Values star. Two are from the State of California, and two are from the federal government. This is how the $780,808.29 breaks down:

State of Californa

2015: $113,500.93

2016: $116,870.07

Federal

2015: $310,223.28

2016: $240,214.01

Unfortunately, Braxton is not only known for her chart-topping hits like “Unbreak My Heart” and “He Wasn’t Man Enough For Me.” She’s also known for the bankruptcies she filed in 1998 and 2010.

In an interview with ABC News in 2012, the living legend said that she filed the first bankruptcy in 1998 because she only received a small slice of the profit pie from her first album, and keeping it all the way real, she also had a shopping addiction for house decor.

“I love dishes and house things, so I kind of lost it a little bit on houseware…but that kind of stuff – the girly things, oh yeah – that’s what I indulge,” she said.

Her next three albums didn’t do well, and to add insult to injury, the beauty was diagnosed with microvascular angina, a narrowing of vessels in her heart, and later, lupus. At the time, she was also on a self-financed Vegas comeback. So, boom! Bankruptcy #2 was filed in 2010.

Although she had so many things take unexpected turns at the time, she said that she understood how important it is to take control of your finances. In that same interview with ABC News, the 50-year-old echoed that sentiment.

“I cared what my audience thought about me…because you’re supposed to be smarter.”
