Vincent Herbert Denies Abusing Tamar & Fathering A Child With Laura Govan

- By

The period between Christmas and New Year’s Day can be a particularly busy one. And while some of us were struggling to keep track of the days, I doubt that we experienced as much drama as Vincent Herbert in that week-long period.

In case you missed it, not only was Vince arrested on Christmas Day for violating the protective order Tamar took out against him, she also accused him of fathering another child, with speculation that the mother of this unborn offspring might be Laura Govan.

Quite eventful.

So naturally, when TMZ ran into Vince out and about this holiday weekend, they had more than a few questions for him.

TMZ: Is it true that you got Laura Govan pregnant?

Vincent Herbert: No sir. Not true at all.

TMZ: What about the spousal abuse?

Vincent Herbert: Not true at all.

You know what they say, there are versions of the truth. We know that Herbert was indeed arrested for spousal assault, we just don’t know what that entails. After the incident, Tamar came forward with a statement saying that while her interaction with Vince was not physical, she did acknowledge that alcohol and jealousy played a role in their argument and his eventual arrest.

And since we’re here and know that this Vince/Tamar story will likely go on and on for the next few days, we might as well provide all of the updates right now.

After Herbert was arrested on Christmas Day, Melissa Schuman from the now-defunct pop group Dream came forward with her own allegations about the way Vincent treated her and her group members back in the day.

Tamar was quick to jump to her estranged husband’s defense, calling the woman a “thirst bucket.”

“Don’t EVEN TRY to use our personal Family situation for attention!! All the greats had to do it, GAGA, Toni, myself … All had what was ARTIST DEVELOPMENT!! OK … now here is what you WON’T be doiong thirst bucket!! I know u saw damn puffy MTB … the industry THEN was like bootcamp for ALL of us!”

Schuman also accused Nick Carter, of the Backstreet Boys, of raping her in 2002. Carter alleges that their sexual encounter was consensual.

After Tamar stepped forward, shooting down Schuman’s allegations, she released this statement via her Twitter page.

I think it was safe to assume that a divorce between Tamar and Vince wouldn’t be peaceful and quiet. Still, this is more drama than I anticipated.
