Who says you can’t wear a bathrobe and a towel on your head and call it fashion?
Rita Ora tested this idea this past weekend when she hosted the 2017 MTV EMAs (Europe Music Awards) and arrived on the red carpet in a look most would find more suitable for the bathroom than an awards show. With diamonds, glittery pumps and a beat face though, she was definitely able to still look somewhat glamorous in her daring ensemble.
Many stars, like Ora, are taking the home beauty accessories and trends we use and try while relaxing or when preparing for bed and bringing them to the red carpet and main stage. Whether its rollers or the doobie wrap, what used to only be suitable for the house is now being taken to the streets. Check out other stars sporting the looks you rock at home out and about.

Doobie Wrap
Who could forget when Rihanna accepted her AMA Icon award in 2013 in a sleek doobie wrap?

Scarf Look
While I prefer to wrap my Pashmina scarf around my head when I’m trying to keep my hair out of my face at home, Alicia Keys jazzed up hers and wore it to a Tom Ford fashion show.
Rollers
Bruno Mars not only wore rollers in the “Uptown Funk” video, but he also brought those same rollers and pins to the stage when he performed on The Voice.

Snap Clips
Who remembers these snap clips?! Put your head back on a seat too hard and they would pop loose. But that didn’t stop Solange from bringing the look back and out of the house at the CFDA Fashion Awards.

Scrunchies
You may not be able to tell, but Lupita Nyong’o rocked a pretty ornate scrunchie at the Elle Women in Hollywood event.

Thread
While many of us hide the thread we use in our hair, whether to keep braided styles together or to secure our weaves, Janelle Monáe let hers stand out at the Producers Guild Awards.

Bantu Knots
Rihanna does it again! She attended and accepted an award at the iHeartRadio Awards in some very funky Bantu knots.

Bobby Pins
We don’t know where Uzo was planning to step out to, but she certainly turned heads before she left the house by being bold enough to opt for colorful Bobby pins. They were definitely part of her outfit. In fact, they matched it!

Straight Backs
And what fancier place to try a laid back look like straight backs than at the Met Gala? Ruth Negga looked quite fabulous with hers.
