TLC founder Perri “Pebbles” Reid has been fairly quiet since the group’s shocking biopic, CrazyS*xyCool: The TLC Story made its long awaited debut on VH1, but she’s finally ready to tell her side of the story. Earlier today the music industry executive-turned-prophetess sat down for an exclusive interview with Wendy Williams to discuss the film, which she claims is filled with lies, and the alleged affair that occurred between her ex-husband, L.A. Reid, and Chill “Rozanda” Thomas. Check out her interview highlights below

On if she ever caught Chilli and L.A. Reid having intercourse:

“Let me explain something to you, I would’ve caught a case, had I seen something like that back then. That didn’t happen. That didn’t happen!”

On if she believes Chilli was sleeping with L.A. Reid behind her back:

“Absolutely. I didn’t know. I suspected a couple of things, but I didn’t want to believe that. And for years, I didn’t want to believe that because I felt like they were daughters to me. I am going to write my book and put it in there [why I believe Chilli was sleeping with L.A.], but believe me when I say, I saw a couple of things.

On if Left Eye and T-Boz knew about the affair:

“I believe so.”

On if the affair was ongoing:

“Chile, you gon’ have to ask them. All I know is what it produced.”

On if she paid TLC $25 per week:

“Look at my boot that I got for you Wendy. I don’t do $25 on things. I’m a very generous person. That’s a lie… a huge one.”

On buying the girls a old Rav 4s:

“In terms of the Rav 4, that’s what you asked for, that’s what you wanted, fine. Listen, you don’t have Ferrari money. Why get you one? You haven’t made that. You just came out. You’re a new group. Uh, I went platinum too. First new artist contracts, you do promotional tours. You do opening act tours. That’s not Ferrari money, honey. You just got here. You only had a couple of singles out.

On if the girls were broke because they spent “foolishly:”

“That’s their business.”

On T-Boz and Left Eye kicking Chilli out of the group:

“[I] Absolutely [did] not [kick Chilli out of the group]. T-Boz and Left Eye did. [They kicked her out] because of what they said was happening in the studio. That [Chilli messing with Dallas] was the conflict of interest. This is what they said to me, ‘She’s in here doing this and doing that.’ They have group rules. I sat them down early on and said, ‘Establish how you want to be a unit so you can keep your communication together. Make rules. Don’t cross these rules.’ You have three girls. You gotta keep them together. You’re supposed to not [fraternize with the help.] Everybody is going to gravitate, hell, I married my producer. That was love.  But what I’m saying is this, [the girls] did not like it, they did not want it. And it is the truth.”

On VH1’s new claims that the movie wasn’t a true story to avoid a lawsuit:

“Right, it’s not going to avoid anything because all options are on the table. You said it was a true story, you told the public this and you made hate campaigns start against me. And now, all of a sudden, in your fine print, you’re gonna say some of the story was made up?”

 On Ashley threatening Chilli:

“We don’t do beatdowns.”

OK Miss Prophetess–carrying on or even thinking about “revenge” or lawsuits is not of God. Let it go–if you truly are a woman of God let HIs light shine in you and leave this mess alone–or make a spectacle of yourself and we will all know you by your fruits.

This is getting out of hand. Get over it Ms.Pebbles, who cares anymore. The interview shows no evidence that Chilli was sleeping with L.A. Reid. Women are great investigators so I’m sure if it was true, she would have evidence. Also, this woman is suppose to be all Chrisitan but she’s not acting like one. Shame on you Pebbles. You know you did them wrong, get over it you got put on blast. I also have a issue with this Crystal thing, so my suggestion for people doing radio shows with her is to ask her to sing. Then we will see who is the liar here. TLC seems very sincere, they told a lot of personal things that people who were lying would not have done. TEAM TLC and lets let Left Eye R.I.P.

  • Nya Jacobsen

That was the worse interview ever. Wendy cut her off like eight times. What’s the point in asking questions if you can’t wait for an answer? And Pebbles isn’t very likable.

I think the Huffington Post interview was a bit better. I don’t think she is innocent but I can’t lie – she did make some valid points when talking to Marc Lamont Hill and I actually believe some of what she said. I am starting to think even Chilli and T-Boz don’t know everything that was going on and they are simply repeating a lot of stuff they have been told over the years because it fits the narrative that the public has bought into.

Why are you all acting like you didn’t hear her say the money went to Arista, Clive and BMG? She was the woman at the bottom, like she said. Toni said the same thing happened to her. So that I believe.

    • guest

Isn’t that the truth! People will believe what they choose to believe. It’s clear in this TLC biopic mess that the campaign against Pebbles has worked, unfairly I might add. The bottom line is none of us were there and the movie was made from TLC’s perspective.

      • Rissie75

But wait, aren’t you doing the same thing by believing Pebbles?? Why are you right for believing her, but the others are wrong for believing TLC? If they believe what they CHOOSE to believe, then so are you…IJS.

  • MonicaT

I’m glad Pebbles has been given a chance to speak her side of the story. Funny how VH1 is now saying this isn’t a true story because they promoted it as a true story.

    • Rissie75

Hmmm I need to see proof to believe that….I’m sure if that was sent, her daughter would’ve had it posted everywhere on the NET as well as talked about it on her radio show.

  • JRoc85

If only Pebbles had said something BEFORE “CrazySexyCool” came out, maybe people would be willing to listen. However, to say all of this NOW, just seems like an ill-fated attempt at DAMAGE CONTROL!!!! Pebbles looks GREAT for 49, but Ashley looks OLD for 30!!! BTW, it’s hard for me to believe that “Left Eye” & “T-Boz” wanted Chili out of the group!!! Hell, if anything Pebbles probably thought swindling TLC was payback for “Chill” sleeping with L.A, & the other girls knowing about it, but not saying anything!!! Messy, Messy, Messy!

  • JCMpls

Talk about slander, she accusing Chili of sleeping with her ex, without proof and then allowing her foul mouth daughter to continue to say that. And now she says that T-Boz and Left-Eye kicked Chili out of the group. Something is wrong with this woman. And FYI, if you have a contract that you are giong to sign for cash money, a lawyer will look at it for free and get his payout on the back end. Pebbles, we’re not 19, you can’t tell the public just any old thing and we all know that those girls didn’t agree to pay you more than they paid themselves. The devil is waiting for you in hell! SMDH at the lies! Oh yea, I want to see that VH1 letter. Looking forward to them saying that they never sent her one!

Don’t most married women know when their husbands are having affairs? You sound ridiculous. How do you know she doesn’t have proof? ALL married women know when their husbands are dipping out. Admitting it to yourself might be a different story. You act like you were there. I bet your probably under 35 because folks older than that know that Pebbles is the fall guy for TLC.

The more interesting interview is the one Crystal and the original manager did on V103 … I personally think the real story is a combination of that account, what Tionne and Chilli say, and what Pebbles says. I think it’s right down the middle somewhere. People have to remember these movies are made from one point of view. Do some research on the Temptations miniseries, and the general consensus is that the story was told to make the one behind it, Otis, look good. Plus, ALL of the original Tempts were dead when it came out so nobody deeply involved could dispute it. All stories have multiple sides and this is no different …

    • Alex

I agree with you here. I always wondered how the members of the Temptations would feel about their portrayals. Don’t confuse this with hate because I love TLC and I believe the vast majority of what they said but their story is definitely one sided. T-boz and Chilli are the only two that came out smelling like roses. I doubt that they would have put those alcohol bottles in LIsa’s hand had she been alive. But then again, the story is from their perspective of events. Everyone’s perception is different. I do believe Pebble’s is lying as Crystal’s story about the contract coincides with what TLC said about her business practices.

  • Ann

She should be glad that movie mad her relevant. She would not be out her doing interview and everything else without it.

    • guest

TLC should be glad the movie made them relevant. Who was talking about TLC? Maybe you need to spend some time watching her vids on Youtube. She was an artist, and a successful one at that, way before discover TLC.

      • hmmmm

Pretty much … nobody was talking about them either. And these TLC stans aren’t even checking for their new song. The whole thing is ridiculous. T-Boz called Pebbles and Crystal scorned heffas but the same applies to them because this is all they ever talk about anymore. They remind me of Lil Kim STILL talking about Biggie after all these years. Why let your legacy waste away on decades old drama? smh

  • Sunshinegirl

From the way that she’s getting defensive about the questions that Wendy’s asking her, Pebbles’ needs more people. She sounds like she’s all about her coins and ain’t trying to share!

  • candy cane

I co-sign with all posters; this broad is one for the books hunny. And she does a LOT of back pedaling on questions about the affair; first, if she saw it she would’ve caught a case; then she believed it and DIDN’T believe it and then WHAT did it produce cause Tron belongs to Dallas Austin.
Yea, she don’t do $25 anything NOW but back in the day she knows as well as anyone that it was like a 60-40 split between artist and their management company/record label with the artist getting 40%

  • BabyBlue

If she’s not going to admit to anything then this interview was useless. It’s apparent she won’t take responsibility for anything.

  • Mimsy

She’s just made herself look ridiculous doing this interview. And supposed to be a Christian, pastor and whatever she claims in the name of Jesus. I guess it’s time to slander Chili but it won’t change the facts of what she did to them. She needs to have several church seats!

    • Jasmine

      church seats: _/ _/ _/ _/ _/ _/ _/ take 7! church seats honey! lol

      • Mimsy

        WELLLLLLLLL… lol

    • BabyBlue

    • Alex

Yep, she really looks crazy! I gave her the side eye a few times when I saw this on BET. Her story just doesn’t sound right. She kept mentioning that she couldn’t talk about certain things because of a confidentiality agreement but it seems like she didn’t want to mention those things because she couldn’t come up with plausible lies.

  • Major

Can we PLESE stop talking about this? Please.

    • MarriedMomOf2

I was gonna say that, I’m sick of hearing about this movie already.
