Have you ever paid attention to Nick Cannon’s name on Instagram? It’s “Lord Ncredible Almighty Ike T” and since we only know one Ike T — Ike Turner — we asked him plain and simple, what’s up with that?

Given Ike Turner’s less-than-favorable reputation, we were a little more than confused about Cannon’s decision to liken himself to the musician. But Cannon says Ike Turner’s been villainized by What’s Love Got to Do With It and he doesn’t get enough credit for his contributions to music, particularly for being a pioneer of rock n’ roll. And further, Cannon said he often feels like the media tries to “Ike Turner” him and he’s not going to let that happen.
