This Friday afternoon, we’re going to hit you with a “things that make you go hmm” moment.

Recently in an interview with Access Hollywood, Scott Evans asked the Team USA’s Fab Five who they would want to play them in a biopic. Naturally, Gabby who has already checked this item off of her bucket list, didn’t speak up. But Simone Biles was not shy. Immediately, she jumped in with a suggestion.

“Hands down, Zendaya man, Zendaya.”

Her teammates, playing the supportive role, cosigned her decision.

When Scott said, “Zendaya’s like double your height.”

Simone was completely unfazed.

“But that’s fine. Everyone says I look taller on tv anyways. I want Zendaya to play me, I’m sorry.”

I don’t have to point out the obvious. Aside from the drastic height difference, there’s a something else that might suggest Zendaya might not be the best casting choice. I’ll give you one guess and the first one doesn’t count.

Y’all know what it is.

Perhaps though, Simone is not concerned about the physical portion of the role. She might just believe that Zendaya would be the best person to capture her spirit and essence.

And Lord knows with Hollywood’s track record, this type of decision might not be so far fetched.

What do you think about Simone’s comments about the biopic casting?
