After doing a post on misconceptions men have about women’s bodies, it’s only fair that I admit that sometimes we women can be a little confused when it comes to the male anatomy too. Here are 15 misconceptions some women have about the male body.
That he could fill a carton with his…
Don’t believe what you see in adult films. Most men, when they ejaculate, only release about a teaspoon of semen (not those fountains you see in adult movies).
Men are always horny
Contrary to the popular belief that men think about sex all of the time, many report only thinking about it a few times a week. They do have to get work done, ya know.
Sperm is fatty
Won’t swallow because you can’t afford the calories? Your man is actually only doling out about five calories per, well, you know. You burned off far more in your romp session!
Big feet and big members
Sorry, but there have been numerous studies done on the matter, and there is just no correlation between the size of a man’s foot and the size of his penis.
If he is still erect after finishing…
He must still want to have sex, right? Not so fast, honey! It just takes a minute or so for his member to go down. While some men have a great deal of stamina, most need to rest.
A man’s anus should be left alone
If your guy freaks out when you try to go back there, it’s not because it feels bad—that’s his mental block or preference. Men have plenty of nerve endings in their anus, just like you do. He might enjoy it!
If he lasts a long time, that’s good
If he lasts a little too long, he might need to seek medical help. You may benefit from your guy taking 45 minutes to finish, but a healthy male usually can’t last more than a few minutes.
Men can’t fake an orgasm
Did you check the contents of that condom? No? Then you really have no way of knowing if he faked it. And they do fake it sometimes.
If he shaves down there, it will get worse
Telling your man not to shave down south because you’re afraid it will grow back thicker? That’s simply not true! According to experts, shaving hair doesn’t change its thickness or rate of growth. But it might cause the hair to grow back with a blunt tip that can make it look darker or make it feel a little more coarse.
Sex moves sperm
Actually, heat moves sperm. Yup, his sack holds his sperm, and it does its “job” best in cold or lukewarm temperatures. When the testicles heat up (which often happens during sex), they get the cue to send sperm up and out.
Men love to have their balls fondled
Easy down there! There is such thing as squeezing a man’s testicles too tight. In fact, doing so can release a dangerous amount of testosterone.
“Blue balls” is just a term
Your man’s testicles do enlarge during sex. If that built-up pressure (and blood) isn’t released, their balls can look a little blue due to deoxygenated blood down there.
Men can eat whatever they want
Women are pitched probiotic yogurt and men are pitched triple bacon cheeseburgers. But don’t be fooled: Men can have the same bathroom emergencies women do after eating all that stuff.
Men need more calories
Each body has a unique calorie need, based on that body’s size, activity level and much more. A woman who runs 10 miles a day may need more calories than a stationary man.
