Can you really get away with murder? Some people say that these celebrities who are apparently above the law did. Did you know they committed these crimes?

Bill Cosby

If the piling evidence is right, Bill Cosby sexually assaulted, drugged and intimidated women from going to court for decades. But his recent statement certainly don’t sound like they come from a man who’s afraid that he might be tried for his alleged crimes:

“Dear Fans: For 53 years you have given me your love, support, respect and trust. Thank you! I can’t wait to see your smiling faces and warm your hearts with a wonderful gift – LAUGHTER. I’m ready!

Hey, Hey, Hey – I’m far from finished.”

Alfred Hitchcock

Director Alfred Hitchcock wasn’t just a master of horror, he was also a master ladies man. And when actress Tippi Hedren didn’t give him what he wanted in exchange for launching his career, he ended her career.

Since Alfred still had Tipi under contract, he rejected every role she was offered. Alfred eventually paid her for the two years left on her contract. And although Tippi’s career was ruined, Alfred was never sued for sexual harrassment. In 2012, Tippi said “There was absolutely nothing I could do legally whatsoever. There were no laws about this kind of a situation. If this had happened today, I would be a very rich woman.”

Errol Flynn

At the height of his career, actor Errol Flyyn was accused of the statutory rape of not one but two underaged girls.

While Errol was on trial for statutory rape, he dated another minor: a 15-year-old girl that he met outside the court house. To further prove that he was above the law, Erroll was still acquitted of all charges and continued to date teenagers for the rest of his acting career.

Roman Polanski

81-year-old director Roman Polanski has never been convicted for allegedly drugging and sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl during a French Vogue photo shoot — because he fled to France. The director has been living abroad for nearly four decades.

In 2009, he was arrested in Switzerland. But when scores of European artists and politicians came to his defense, Switzerland decided not to extradite him.

Matthew Broderick

In 1987, Matthew Broderick and his then-girlfriend Jennifer Grey were driving late at night. No reports of Matthew’s alcohol level were made but he says he has “no recollection” of the evening. The two eventually hit another car, killing two people inside of it.

But while Matthew was initially facing prison time, he wound up only paying a $175 fine.

R. Kelly

Justice must be blind if you can film yourself engaging in… inappropriate activity with a minor and still get off scot-free.

Tony Stewart

NASCAR star Tony Stewart rear-ended fellow driver Kevin Ward during a race. When Ward got out of the car, angry with Tony for hitting him, Tony came around the track and hit him again, killing the 20-year-old driver. Stewart was later cleared of all charges.

Senator Ted Kennedy

Did Ted Kennedy kill his mistress? Those were the rumors when Mary Jo Kopechne’s body was found in the water off the coast of Martha’s Vineyard.

When questioned by the police, Ted Kennedy said that he’d had an accident earlier and he escaped from the sinking car while Mary Jo did not. He had no explanation for why he never reported the accident to the police.

Senator Ted Kennedy was acquitted of all charges, but rumors that the married senator drowned his girlfriend haunged his campaign for years and ultimately ruined his chances of running for president.

Snoop Dogg

Snoop Dogg hired OJ’s famous lawyer Johnny Cochran when he was accused of murdering a rival gang member who was shot dead by his bodyguard in 1993. Both Snoop and his bodyguard were found not guilty when the court ruled that the shooting was in self defense.

Rebecca Gayheart

Jawbreaker star Rebecca Gayheart hit and killed a 9-year-old as he crossed the street. Several cars had stopped but Rebecca swerved around them and struck the child. Although Rebecca was charged with vehicular manslaughter, she was only sentenced to community service.

Robert Wagner

Did Robert Wagner kill his wife Natalie Wood?

When actress Natalie Wood’s body was found bruised and floating one mile away from Robert Wagner’s boat, Wagner told police he had no idea what happened.

However, several witnesses say Robert walked in on Natalie sleeping with actor Christopher Walken just hours before Natalie was found in the water.

Vince Neil

The Motley Crue frontman was driving drunk when he struck another car. His passenger was killed and the two individuals in the other car suffered brain damage. But even though Neil’s blood alcohol level was .17 at the time of the accident, he only spent 15 days in jail.

Clint Eastwood

Not everyone has to pay alimony. When Clint Eastwood ended his 14-year relationship with director Sondra Locke by changing the locks while she was out, she filed for (common law) spousal support.

Sondra wanted $500K plus a three-yea $1.5 millin development deal with Warner Bros. Clint Eastwood said OK. But Sondra was back in court five years later to report that Clint made a deal with Warner Bros. that resulted in Sondra never working in Hollywood again.
