Most people don’t like to accept blame for their foolishness. Though we all make mistakes, it seems like getting an apology these days is a little rare. Instead, people will hit you up with some of these tactics to avoid having to take blame.
Now, let’s be honest, some of us have done some of these, and some of us have done all of these. Let’s shake our head as we go through the list together, shall we?
Deny
When it’s time to take the reigns of culpability, some people will deny, deny, deny the wrong that they did. You know what you did!

Anger
How dare you make me remember what I did to you? Am I intimidating you enough to stop you from accusing me? No? Let me get louder then.

Play Dumb
Are you sure it happened the way you said it did? I don’t remember saying that, or even doing that. Are you sure that was me? …Chile...

Deflect
Well, it couldn’t have been me, because I don’t even behave like that. What I think really happened was when [insert other person] popped up. That’s when things got crazy.

“Just Kidding”
That was just a joke, you’re too serious! Lighten up! Ugh…
Place it All on You
I mean, you’re in control of your own emotions. You don’t have to get upset about this. In fact, if you hadn’t done what you did, then I wouldn’t have done what I did.

Isolation
They begin to avoid you. You look in their direction and they quickly look away, check their wrists to see what time it is when you know that they don’t even wear watches. Is it that serious?

Play the Victim
When you finally approach them, they give you the doe eyes, and act as though you’re the one who did them wrong. Like, really?

Sarcastic Apology
“Okay then, well I’m sorry that you feel that way.” Nah, I’m sorry you gave me that pathetic attempt of an apology. You should have just kept it then.
