Everyone becomes family
Even if you’ve been in a long-term relationship with a man, things really aren’t solidified until he’s proposed to you. Once you get engaged, expect both families to become one. You’ll become an aunt and he’ll become an uncle, and you can expect your parents, and his, to start calling you their son or daughter-in-law. With a ring, everyone just becomes that much closer to each other.
