Cyrus and Mellie Finally Understand Each Other
Remember how much trash Cyrus talked to Mellie before he sent his husband over to seduce another man? He was surely on some “my husband is not your husband” type mess. Well, that’s not entirely true now. And for the first time Cyrus understood how Mellie feels living with a man who has been consistently sleeping with someone else. She tells him, he’ll be able to make it. He’ll just go numb and get used to it. If I were naïve, I’d say that now Cyrus will be more sympathetic to Mellie… but I highly doubt it.
