When James hints that he’s going to be home alone with Daniel Douglas, Cyrus makes sure he runs home from work so Daniel and James don’t get a chance to have sex again. He walks in the room to find James typing away on his computer. He tells him he knows that he slept with Daniel. And that’s when James goes off. He knows that Cyrus sent him over there like a prostitute… a cheap one. And he asks for a divorce. What was particularly poignant about that scene was the moment James told Cyrus he was extra foul for being a gay man trying to sneakily “out” another gay man for political gain. Of course this is terrible, especially since Cyrus lived this lie himself not too long ago; but if he was willing to kill James, the man he loves, anything else is small potatoes.
