Eunice Nuekie Cofie, president and chief cosmetic chemist of Nuekie, Inc. was named one of the 20 Youngest Power Women In Africa 2012 by Forbes. (She is of Ghanaian heritage.) A cosmetic chemist, entrepreneur, innovator and scholar, has made various breakthroughs in the beauty industry. Her company specializes in research and development of dermatological products for ethnic men and women.

A graduate of Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University with a degree in chemistry/molecular biology, Cofie is a former Miss Black Florida USA. Today, she is focused on helping others tap their beauty potential. Named by the World Economic Forum as a 2012 Young Global Leader, she is also very involved in various African charity organizations.

What she wished she knew:

“I wish I had known to be more confident in myself and my abilities to pull my business idea off. It took me time to realize everything that I needed was inside of me.
