Peep The Instability Early: How To Handle A Dating Stalker

- By

The angry/sad messages begin

With the stalker type, all they want is somebody in their life. Having somebody confirms to them that they are worth something. And being rejected makes them down spiral into thoughts that they’re not worth anything. So, that’s when they will go into a frenzy of calling, texting or emailing you—doing anything so that they don’t have to accept that you just walked out of their life. Because they can’t handle that reality. They don’t have the healthy amount of self-confidence that helps people accept rejection. This is when you get to ignore. All they want is a reaction out of you. Their messages will usually be something to the extent of, “Nobody will ever love me/I’m so depressed” or “You’re a wh*re! I hope you die!” They want you to either seek their approval with the mean messages, or to want to save them with the sad ones. It’s so tempting to react to either, but do not.
