Learn to read early on if a person is depressed, deeply insecure or unstable. If you meet a guy and he makes a lot of self-deprecating comments, he is probably the type who needs someone else—and desperately—in order to feel loved, because he does not love himself. If you meet a man who speaks angrily about his ex, he could be looking for revenge against her, or could again be very insecure and incapable of accepting that relationships end. If you meet someone that is seeing a therapist twice a week, has never been single for longer than a week, is abusing antidepressants, goes on rants about how he hates his father…I think you get the point.
