Introducing: Jhene Aiko

If you keep up with artists who are more internet famous than anything, you might be familiar with Jhene Aiko.  She was first introduced to the world around the time boy group B2K was around but nothing ever really happened from that association. From there, she started releasing songs randomly on the internet that people who just happen to pick up on.  Last year, she released a mixtape called Sailing Soul and it was a huge viral success.  Jhene  released a song a few weeks ago dedicated to her brother that recently passed from cancer called “For My Brother” that really displays how she often writes from an emotional place. She also just put out a video for “3:16AM” which details how her thoughts of a past relationship always creep through her mind during those late, quiet hours causing her not to be able to sleep.  What Jhene may lack in vocal ability (she’s not a bad singer, she’s just not a strong one in my opinion), she totally makes up for in writing talent.  She’s one I definitely think you’ll dig!
