Remember that guy in high school with all the tattoos, who showed up late to class and never raised his hand to participate in group discussions? Although we stuck our nose up at him, clutching our books on our way to homeroom, there was something we couldn’t resist. Admit it: Bad boys are hot.

Granted, we wouldn’t settle down or encourage our girlfriends to date a man who has been in-and-out of jail or seems to live carelessly, we can admire his dashing looks from afar. We took time to salute 10 handsome men in Hollywood who drive us wild with their bad boy reps.

Take a look:

Idris Elba

The British hottie always seems to be playing the brooding bad boy. Mainstream viewers were introduced to him as the second in command to a drug kingpin on “The Wire.” But even as “Charles Miner,” his character on “The Office,” he caused tension and upset by replacing the hilarious “Micheal Scott.” There’s is no denying that this man is gorgeous from his mysterious eyes to his rippled chest.

Kid Cudi

Who would have thought the seemingly mellow Ohio rapper had a dark side? He’s had three run-ins with the law in the past two years, the most recent being an arrested for felony criminal mischief and possession of  controlled substance. Although one of the run-ins was a mistaken identity, his tough guy attitude lingers in our minds. There’s something about his laid-back scruffy look that makes us hot.

Gbenga Akinnagbe

Akinnagbe’s first role was in “Barbershop” getting a haircut, but since that 2005 scene his career has sky rocketed. He’s played a drug dealer in “The Wire,” but the Nigerian cousin to D.C. rapper Wale went to college on  a wrestling scholarship. So, he may not have an arrest record, but can body slam anyone who tries to step to his girl.

T.I.

Southern men are suppose to be gentlemen and while we’re sure T.I. knows how to handle a lady, he sure doesn’t shy away from his Bad Boy title. Released from jail earlier this year on gun possession charges, the Riverdale, Georgia, born rapper began dealing drugs as a teenager. Not only has he had several run-ins with the law, but intense beefs with fellow southern rappers, Lil’ Flip and Shawty Lo. All bad actions aside, he does have a soft side, working with troubled youth in his downtime.

Method Man

Don’t let the former Wu Tang Clan member’s precious smile fool you– he’s a certified bad boy. Most recently in a bottle throwing brawl at an Insane Clown Posse concert, the New Yorker has had public conflicts with Wendy Williams, Diddy, Fox News and the IRS. Although we wouldn’t build a home with a constant marijuana smoker, he’s still nice to look at.

Boris Kodjoe

So, he is the most clean-cut Bad Boy on this list. Kodjoe in the past has played the man on the white horse role, saving damsels in distress. But this fall he will be a CIA agent in “Undercovers.” The father of two not only speaks the romance language of French, he’s also fluent in German and knows his way around a tennis court. So cultured!

Orlando Bloom

Don’t deny it. You gave “Will Turner” a second…or third…glance at the end of  “Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End.” Bloom’s English accent, dark locks and subtle confidence just does it for us! It also helps that he has a generous heart, being an official UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador.

50 Cent

Ever since we saw him pumping iron in his “In da Club” video in 2002, we’ve had a secret crush on him. The rapper turned actor, has had a tumultuous life having been raised by his grandparents, after his cocaine addicted mother was murdered when he was eight years old. When initially hearing about the Queens-bred rapper, many were shocked that he was shot nine times, before the release of his first album. In an interview with “Rolling Stone” he once said about those trying to take his life: “This ain’t no rap war. This have nothin’ to do with no rappers…the people that dislike me have nothin’ to lose. I’m from the bottom. They’re uneasy about still bein’ on the bottom.” His honesty is endearing and quite frankly… Hot.

Terrell Owens

While four major NFL teams would say he’s a bit arrogant and greedy on the field, many women swoon over the Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver. Fans got a closer look into his personal life with the “T.O. Show” on VH1 that depicted his personal and professional struggles being a football star from the deep south. On a positive note, he’s never had a run-in with the law, unlike his other athlete peers– giving him a clear touchdown in our book.

Johnny Depp

The infatuation many women, especially black women, have with Johnny Depp is intriguing. The ultimate bad boy: his Hot eyes, puckered lips and perfectly placed tattoos all certify him as a Bad Boy we’d ride or die for.
