Sex Is Not A Stage—So Why Are So Many Women Still Faking Orgasms? - Page 2
There was a silver lining for those who stopped faking the “Big O”

There was some positive news for those who have stopped faking orgasms. Among participants who indicated they no longer fake orgasms, the most common reasons cited were: a) they became more comfortable with not reaching orgasm (27.97%), especially prevalent among people from Finland; b) they started openly communicating their sexual preferences to their partner (26.54%), with notable responses from participants in Norway and the UK. Other participants noted that their partners became more attentive to their desires and needs (24.37%), particularly in France, Norway, and the UK.
Interestingly, the reasons for stopping faking orgasms also varied by gender. Men were more likely to report that they stopped faking because they gained greater confidence, were caught in the act, or because they had ceased being sexually active. In contrast, women were more likely to cite increased comfort with not having an orgasm.
